Mission
Following the American Association of School Librarians (AASL), the mission of the Richmond Success Academy Media Center is to ensure that students, staff, and teachers are effective users of ideas and information by empowering learners to become critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and ethical users of information.

Message
Dr. Foster values education and recognizes the crucial role that libraries play in enhancing and supporting all learners. Reading elevates students beyond their imagination and broadens their possibilities. An educational community that lacks resources in diverse formats to engage young minds throughout their learning journey is like a vehicle without power.
Richmond Success Academy has introduced a new library that features maker space activities, technology, print and non-print resources, and hands-on experiences. These offerings encourage students to think critically, research effectively, and ask important questions, all while gaining knowledge and life skills.
The new media center is inviting, safe, warm, and welcoming. Students are encouraged to explore, seek, and discover more about their dreams and aspirations.
Education
The media specialist attended Virginia State University, Clark Atlanta University (formerly known as Atlanta University), and Virginia Commonwealth University. She holds a Master's degree in Administration and Leadership, as well as a Master's degree in Library Media Services. Additionally, she earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Education.
